There are two stories behind this picture, and here's the first:

I think most people who like AFI have at least heard of "The Church of Havok". It was an online community started awhile ago (I dunno... can't remember) that was just what it said: a place to worship Davey Havok. The Church had its own history of course, but to put it simply, it was started by a girl in the Netherlands who created it as a joke. The original one has recently been closed down - why? Because a bunch of people thought it was a REAL religion (and I'll admit, she presented it with only a subtle hint of sarcasm, so it was somewhat hard to tell it was a joke). The creator felt that this hardcore following that had begun to worship Davey as a God was somewhat scary and unnerving, so she closed her website with much apology. A second " Church of Havok" has since been started, I believe by people here in the states. You can go see it here:

Frankly, I think the entire thing is hysterical - the fact that she stopped because people were taking it too seriously, and the fact that people WERE taking it that seriously. ^^ Davey was even interviewed about it a couple of times - he seemed to think it was totally cool. I thought that idea was very funny and very cute - but Davey's so cute! (even though I wondered if he knew it was a joke...)

The other story is this:

wanted me to do a Davey picture. ^^ Yup, that's it. So this is dedicated to her, cause she wanted me to!

So here we have Davey declaring he's a god, as based of "The Church of Havok" and Vampy's request. He's so cute. Seriously, though, I'm not meaning to offend anyone with this picture - I didn't mean anything anti-religion with this, nor do I believe that Davey is God, a god, or even a demi-god. He's just inhumanly hot. ^^ (I, by the way, am not religious, so I'm certainly not taking offense at my own stuff!)

Initially, I wasn't happy with this picture - he looked a bit too anorexic. But Davey's been looking a bit anorexic himself, lately, so I guess it's alright... I had a lot of fun with the stained glass background - although the idea for his old fashioned halo and the stained glass window goes to my dear friend, ~minuetterai who saw me drawing him in Economics class, and, after hearing about the Church, declared that I should give him a fun background with said additions. Mwa. I adore you, love!
